nce upon a time, I had a big job working exclusively for corporate America as a full time employee.  I was at the top of my technical game and, as luck would have it, the company I planned to retire from, eliminated not only my position, but my entire department!

I found myself in an economy where employers are reluctant to even consider hiring highly skilled and income worthy full time employee, in an economy that is shrinking and demanding more productivity out of fewer workers. Not an environment making job search or job hopping an easy task, not that it ever truly was. However, it is clear that the Internet is just filled with real money making opportunities! It is also filled with a lot of get-rich-quick schemes and genuine rip-offs.

But wait! There is hope, there are people just like you and me that are able to make a reasonable if not very tidy income on the Internet from the comfort of their own home and in their spare time. Truthfully it helps to have basic computer skills like how to type an e-mail, but frankly, you absolutely DO NOT have to be a Web master or techno-savvy ‘geek’ to do it.

In fact I lay it all out in such detail here that with little else than what you can get right here you can build an entire site yourself and without any programming at all.  Not one bit. You are of course going to need some pretty good basic computer skills like sending e-mail and using popular word processing software.

Even though I have been doing this for a number of years, I do rely on a small and unique set of master mind coaches and a few important tools that I had to personally invest in. I say ‘invest in’ because that is exactly how it is. I ‘invested’ my own time (to keep my initial cost down) and bought some inexpensive tools and resources that I discovered through hundreds of hours of research, practice and trial and error.

Turning back the hands of time to the year 2000, I started my first Internet business with less than $1000; that was a desktop publishing service. I produced newsletters on a Macintosh computer for small businesses and local civic organizations and churches. It was a good business. I made two common  mistakes though:

• I chose a product or service that required a lot of my personal time to market, produce and deliver and I could only service as many clients as I had the time to create newsletters for. I quickly found myself with more clients than I wanted to handle all by myself.
   
• The value of my finished product even in fair quantities did not generate a sufficient income, it was also not very scalable. Unfortunately, as soon as the publishing calendar was full, I realized I also had an income cap.

In 2001, I started my second Internet business, a business-2-business operation implementing online shopping systems for small and medium businesses. Again I made a similar mistake by creating a business that this time actually paid very well ($2,000 to $6,000+ a month) but had me virtually chained to my old home office desk all day, many nights and weekends. But not any more!

Early in 2007, after building that second business for over six years, I learned some small but profoundly important ‘tricks’ to Internet marketing. I learned these by working with others more knowledgeable than myself.  By leveraging the knowledge, advice and tools of others that were truly successful at what I was trying to do, I eventually unlocked the padlock that had me literally chained to my home office desk.

I admit that, I was almost ready to throw in the towel and call it quits many times. But, I just could not go back to the corporate workforce without going down kicking, screaming and if necessary with a few of my favorite expletives. But I stuck with it, I hung in there and with some small but significant changes to my existing online business focus and approach, I finally got it right,  I cracked the code and I have built a business, on the Internet, that puts thousands of dollars in my bank account every month and I spend only 4-8 hours a week doing it. Before I made the sweeping changes in 2007, I was working 40-60 hour weeks.

As I have already said, I did not crack the code by myself, I had a TON of help from the very best and contemporary Internet marketing professionals (master minds) that were much better at it than I was and much more successful. These are the same master minds that I will often refer to and give you direct access to throughout these pages. Behind every successful person is at least one coach and trusted advisor. Presidents, sports super stars, even the CEOs of the fortune 500 have coaches.

Portions of what I am sharing on my site with you I have paid thousands of dollars for and I have invested hundreds and hundreds of hours of personal time. I have learned the ropes from the real Internet Marketing master minds and have put it all together for use in my own business.

I am very excited about Internet marketing as you can tell, in fact you might say I have a genuine passion for it. Before my Internet based work from home business exploded, I struggled to spend time with the Wife that I adored, I almost completely missed my Son’s childhood, I had no time for my flying or Shelby car restoration hobbies and I lost touch with many of my friends. I was totally trapped in the career I had worked so hard to build for myself. In fact, I was the Architect for everything that was weighing me down. It frankly seemed like I had come to a point in my life where time was taking things away from me rather than giving them to me like before.
